Chicago Dental Society Mid-Winter Meeting – Live Event – Integrating Practices for Sleep: Disordered Breathing and OSA from Cradle to Grave

February 22 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Supporting healthy airways has become both a privilege and a responsibility for dentists. For every 100 Americans, 26 will suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apnea, yet only four will be aware of their condition. The implications of oxygen deprivation and sleep disruption are severe, contributing to cognitive dysfunction, ADHD, depression, anxiety, heart disease, acid reflux, obesity, erectile dysfunction, and more. Your patients’ health depends on your keen awareness and timely intervention.

After this course, you will be able to:

  • Learn to recognize risk factors, screen, diagnose and treat breathing disorders from infancy to the elderly
  • Understand the progression from healthy breathing to OSA
  • Set up clear communication strategies for interdisciplinary care with appropriate medical professionals
